The Black Horse MUNIEN PUOLESTA campaign, in collaboration with Cancer Foundation Finland Syöpäsäätiö, is on an important mission to rase funds for prostate and testicular cancer research. Instructions for self-examination can be found inside the packaging of this campaign product. AFTERGLOW print designed by ATELIER AHOKAS.
Black Horse entered the men's underwear market in 1975 from Parola, Finland with the intention of being the dark horse of the category. Over the years, Black Horse has grown to become Finland's most popular men's underwear brand representing quality and expertise in men's underwear. Black Horse is committed to improving cotton farming worldwide together with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI). Black Horse's responsible materials include GOTS-certified organic cotton, GRS-certified recycled polyester and mulesing-free merino wool. The name of the collection honours our light source, the Sun, and the entire visible spectrum of light from the lightest highlights to the absolute absence of light. I wanted to create a collection that celebrates the existence of light and colours offering inspiring and versatile patterns to modern, everyday needs.”

We will be showcasing our latest surface pattern design collection ENCHANTED at the biggest international trade fair for home and contract textiles at Heimtextil held in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
The ENCHANTED collection is designed by Iiro A. Ahokas, the founder and design director of Atelier Ahokas, inspired by his travels in Mauritius. The inspiration for the ENCHANTED collection has been a universe enchanted – a utopian state of mind painted with bewitched brushes enthralled by beauty. The collection lifts the curtains to a magical reality, filled with intoxicating gardens, mesmerizing whispers and dreamlike ponds. ENCHANTED will take you to a place where you never know what happens when you kiss a frog.

Atelier Ahokas and Anno Collection in collaboration – a special edition textile collection ARBORETUM launch at the HABITARE fair in Helsinki on September 12–16, 2018.
The interior textile collection ARBORETUM consists of 10 washed linen products, including cushion covers, kitchen towels and table cloths. The collection remind you of inherited vintage textiles whose soft feel brings you back in time. The gentle arches of the minimalistically subtle HOLVI print are fresh and familiar at the same time. The casual brush strokes of the MUISTO print, on the other hand, bring you to an ancient park where conifers cast shadows around them.

AT HEIMTEXTIL 2018 TRADE FAIRS, FRANKFURT
We will be launching 400 commercial surface design artworks of our VOYAGE collection at the international Heimtextil trade fairs in Frankfurt, Germany. The entire collection includes over 800 hand created, digitally composed production-ready designs.
The VOYAGE collection is designed by Iiro A. Ahokas, the founder and design director of Atelier Ahokas, during the spring 2016 in Manhattan, New York. The theme of the VOYAGE collection is journeys to different times, places and realities. Ahokas has received his inspiration from the irreversible, yet temporary and transitory nature of time. VOYAGE takes us from lost cultures, continents and creatures to the futuristic megacities in space, and from mythical enchanted gardens to the middle of unknown interstellar landscapes. The collection twists together the elements of dreams and reality with past and future, and blends in flavours found along the unexplored paths on the Earth, and the universe beyond.
